New Deal Skateboards
New Deal Skateboards is back! With all things 90s being so popular these days, it only seemed right for this iconic early 90s brand to make a resurgence. New Deal was founded by Andy Howell, Steve Douglas, and Professor Schmitt. The brand showed that skateboarding companies could take a different direction than the handful of companies that dominated the industry at the time. It showed the younger generation of skaters, that they could influence and shape skateboarding in their own way.
Ed Templeton, Mike Valley, and Florida native John Montesi are a few well-known names that rode for New Deal in the early 90s. Check out “Useless Wooden Toys” New Deal’s full-length video released in 1990.
